Thank you for your interest in studies at the Ybl Miklós Faculty of the Szent István University.
The application procedures of our faculty are orgianized according those of the university, though with faculty specialities you can find below. Please consider that the application as an exchange student of Erasmus+ and as student for the Degree Program MSc in Architecture are different.

Erasmus+ Application Process

According our Erasmus+ Aggreements the international office of the sending institution nominate their students. After acceptance of nominations applicants have to send the below listed application documents directly to Ms. Ágnes Kolontáry, international coordinator This email address is being protected from spambots. Shortly after the application deadline we inform the students by an email regarding the decision of the faculty. If accepted further instructions will be attached such as

  • letter of acceptance
  • arrival requirements
  • announcment of the orientation meeting
  • helpful contacts

Erasmus+ Tuition Costs and Fees

At the Erasmus+ program there are no fees to pay at the receiving institution.


Degree Program MSc in Architecture


MSc in Architecture Application Deadline for self-financed studies

MSc in Architecture Application Process 

The application for the Degree Program MSc in Architecture is a two-stage process. The first selection is based on the application documents by the application deadline listed below. If these are accepted selected students has to take part on a skype interview.

MSc in Architecture Application Documents for the first selection,
to send to our faculty via e-mail:

  • application form for MSc in Architecture
  • letter of motivation outlining your reasons for choosing the course
  • professional portfolio (3-10 pages, max A3 format)
  • official copy of BSc/BA degree certificate and the transcript of records
  • evidence of your English ability: B2 level certificate or certificate about studies in English (min 1 absolved semester)
  • brief Curriculum Vitae
  • proof of payment of the application fee (50 EUR)

Important: the application will be considered only if all documents are received by the deadline set and all of them are in English. Translated documents need to be certified.

Applicants will then receive an email regarding the decision of the faculty and detailed instructions about the skype interview.


Payment Data

Transfer the application fee (deadline 15 June 2020) and if accepted the tuition fee to the bank account of the university.

MSc in Architecture Tuition Costs and Fees

Application fee:

  • to pay at the application (deadline 15 June 2020)
  • 50 EUR / student

Tuition fee:

  • to pay only if accepted at the entrance exam (and received the Preliminary Letter of Acceptance)
  • 2.500 EUR/ semester

Student card fee:

  • to pay after your arrival in the registration week
  • 10 EUR / student

Visa Application Process

If accepted at the entrance exam, you will receive the Preliminary Letter of Acceptance (PLoA), with all data needed for the payment of the tution fee. In accordance with the Hungarian law, the tuition fee for the first semester/academic year must be paid to the university before we can issue the official Letter of Admission (LoA) for the Visa. In the case of a visa refusal, these costs will be refunded.
